Elektromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
Since 1. January 1996 the sale of devices, taking among the application range of the Directive 89/336/EEC, is allowed with CE sign only.

For all new motor vehicles and components from 1. July 2006 it is necessary to use the supplementary car EMC directive 2004/104/EC.

Definition EMC
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) means the ability of an electrical/electronic system to function satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without introducing intolerable electromagnetic disturbances to anything in that environment.
